Welcome!
This is our 5th grade website where you will be able to find information about our classroom happenings! I plan to update this news area as often as possible so you can stay involved with your students learning outside of school. As I continue to learn to navigate the web design world, I will be adding new pages, links, and information that both families and students can find helpful and useful while at home.
10/14/17
This week in Math we are working on chance events and working more with decimals! In Reading, we will also be exploring more with problems and solutions in our various stories and learning more how different characters stand up for what is right. We will also be reviewing the 50 United States!
10/20/14
Hello again Monday! It's good to be back! This week we will be working with multiplication and decimals, and practicing our facts! We will also begin to look at our first Social Studies unit of the United State's Western Expansion. We will also have a few more Blizzard Bag trial trial runs for our class to make sure we all are ready for our first real blizzard! During reading we will flash back in time to the Revolutionary War which will serve as a great review as we head forward in our country's history!
10/27/14
This week we will be diving into Geometry and getting to work with some manipulatives to better understand some of these concepts! We will be wrapping up our mini study of the Revolutionary War and continuing Westward very soon! Our next reading unit is all about investigating science, so we have some exciting weeks to look forward to! Also any student with missing or make up work must turn it in by WEDNESDAY so I can have it graded in time for grades to close this week.
I sent home parent teacher conference sign ups on Monday for families to send back in ASAP ( by Thursday this week if possible) so we can work on scheduling a time that works for both of us. Let's have a productive week!
